Information for Solicitors

Swift Medical Services is run by doctors who are medical experts with extensive experience in the field of medico-legal claims. We accept instructions from plaintiff/defendant solicitors, insurers and individual claimants to provide objective medical reports for the court. We offer a fully Woolf compliant service.

Experienced staff see each case through every stage, from pre-instruction protocols, to appointing a chosen expert, advising medical appointment times, receiving the report and sending it onto the instructing party.

Medical experts are selected according to performance indicators, speciality and location, from our nationwide panel. They work in all specialities including orthopaedics, psychology, general practice and occupational medicine. If you so wish, we can liaise direct with the other party to agree an expert. Where necessary we can obtain medical records.

All medical reports are proof-read by medically qualified staff and all experts are continually assessed as part of our quality assurance programme.

Our comprehensive database ensures that current information is immediately available to keep you informed and answer all enquiries promptly. Reports are 'chased' to ensure timely return.

We also work closely with the instructing parties to recommend, and assist in the arrangement of any necessary treatment that will assist the claimant to make a more rapid recovery. In particular, we can put claimants and solicitors in touch with a nationwide network of geographically convenient physiotherapists and chiropractors who will provide treatment without requiring payment until the case settles.

We are happy to provide medical reports with long credit periods, often until settlement of the case. This also applies to reports prepared by your preferred experts.
