Information for Insurers

Swift Medical Services is an organisation run by Doctors who are Medical Experts with 10 years experience in the preparation of medical reports. We understand the requirements of all parties involved in processing a claim. Most of our reports are for joint instructions.

A main concern for all parties is that any report should be totally objective. Swift Medical Services has always upheld this principle and produces 'reports for the court'. Experts are not advised how the case has been sourced and they are always instructed to provide a balanced and objective report. All reports are proof-read and audited according to our quality control protocol. In addition to our own quality assurance systems, our lists are checked periodically by a major insurer to alert us to any non-preferred experts.

All claimants receive our 'Do Not Exaggerate' form prior to their medical assessment. This clearly explains that the expert they are seeing is independent and does not represent them. They are asked to provide an honest account and are required to sign a form to this effect, prior to being seen.

As doctors, we can ensure that experts are selected according to experience relevant to the claimant's case. Further, our medical experience allows us to work closely with the instructing parties and appointed experts to develop and implement prompt, appropriate treatment plans. We can refer directly to NHS Hospital Consultants and privately through a national network to BUPA approved Physiotherapists and Chiropractors. This action should facilitate more rapid recovery of the claimant. There is much evidence to suggest that earlier treatment prevents long term chronic illness/ illness behaviour and as such, rehabilitation is already a major theme underlying the claims process in Canada and the USA.

If you are considering instructing us, please complete and submit the instruction form or contact us at mailbox@swiftmedical.co.uk or phone 0118 9311696.
